Apply
Our goal is to help you process your application quickly by avoiding a complicated admissions procedure. The admissions process is designed for your convenience. Please follow the steps outlined below. A prospective graduate student may apply after he or she completes his or her junior year of college; a doctoral student may apply during the last year of his master’s work.
Steps 1-5 must be completed before your application will be considered.
Step One
Complete and submit the online Graduate School Application.
Step Two
Submit your three reference names using the online form. Once we receive the names, we will e-mail a link to the reference form to your reference. You need to submit a pastoral reference, a professor reference, and a third reference.
Step Three
Print the Transcript Request Form and use it to request that any college transcript(s) from any college(s) attended be sent to Northland.
Step Four
All applicants to the Graduate School need to complete this Graduate Applicant Essay.
Step Five (Resident Student Only)
- Complete and submit the Medical Form and Immunization History Form and return them to the Northland Graduate School Office.
- All traditional graduate students are required to have health insurance. Students who do not provide proof of coverage before the first day of classes will be enrolled in the Northland-provided student insurance.
Step Six (Resident Student Only)
Submit a current Northland Physical Form, as is required of all new Master of Arts students. (Note: This form will be sent to you once you are accepted and is necessary for resident students only.)
If you are an international student, please see our page for international students page for more details.
Statement of Non-Discrimination
