Biblical Theology of Missions

Next week, April 16 to April 20, Northland Graduate School will be hosting Dr. Pearson Johnson from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Johnson will be on campus teaching a block course called “Biblical Theology of Missions.” This course is one of the core courses in our Master of Arts in Cross-Cultural Studies degree.

This course is an examination of the biblical basis for carrying out the missionary enterprise. Various methodologies, strategies, theological implications, and missionary practices derived from the Scriptures are related to developing a biblical philosophy of missions. Missiological issues for mission-sending churches, the priority of evangelism, and developing indigenous leadership will be discussed.

We look forward to having Dr. Johnson on campus and look forward to seeing him use his expertise in this area. For more information about Dr. Johnson you can visit his faculty page. For more information about the Master of Arts in Cross-Cultural Studies degree please visit this information page.
